Dr. Lisa Pennington is the Founder and Managing Psychologist of LPA and Carolina Minds, PLLC. A licensed psychologist specializing in childhood academic, behavioral, and emotional development, Dr. Pennington is highly skilled in conducting psycho-educational assessments, providing counseling services, and consulting with schools to support children’s educational journeys. She also specializes in developing targeted interventions and offering tailored services to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

Dr. Pennington earned her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and her doctoral degree from the University of South Florida. Before establishing her private practice, she worked as a School Psychologist, where she gained extensive experience collaborating with families, teachers, and schools. For the past 20 years in private practice, she has been committed to empowering children, parents, and educators to help foster academic achievement, emotional resilience, and social success.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Pennington has developed a comprehensive parent education program to help parents better understand their child’s needs and build confidence in supporting their child’s growth. This program equips parents with practical strategies and insights to navigate challenges and promote positive outcomes at home and school.

With a passion for creating supportive, individualized approaches, Dr. Pennington is dedicated to helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. She aims to provide families and educators with the tools and understanding to cultivate confident, motivated, and successful children.
