Kelly Roberson

Kelly is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Life Coach, a Certified SYMBIS facilitator (Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts), and a Crisis-Trained Chaplain. She has a passion for getting to the root cause of distress. Kelly counsels clients ages 10 years old through adults.  Kelly has clinical counseling experience with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-and-stressor-related disorders (PTSD), grief, narcissistic abuse, parenting, relationships, separation, and divorce. She is also experienced in therapeutic art, career exploration, goal setting, and helping clients discover their purpose to find meaning in life.  During sessions, Kelly works to maintain a supportive, caring environment emphasizing unconditional positive regard, empathy, genuineness, and authenticity.  Kelly’s approach to counseling is grounded in an eclectic mix of Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, Existential, and Cognitive Behavioral theoretical (CBT) approaches.  She focuses on the whole person (holistic): feelings, behaviors, wellness, thoughts, and core beliefs. She works collaboratively with clients to maintain supportive and caring sessions that result in positive change.
